Our 2,350 acre community includes residential [housing], school sites, open landscaped spaces, and bicycle trails. As one of the largest Planned Unit Developments east of the Mississippi, we have nearly 10,000 units with approximately 25,000 residents. The primary responsibility of the Boca Del Mar Improvement Association is to take care of the areas in our community that are not maintained by Palm Beach County or the individual homeowners and condominium associations. These areas include Palmetto Park Road, Camino Real, Military Trail, SW 18th Street, and our required Water Retention areas. This maintenance includes several thousand trees, approximately 45 acres of grass, and over 6 miles of landscaping along these roads and areas, all of which requires irrigation and maintenance. It also includes the necessary electricity for the street lights and irrigation systems. We maintain the directional signage on all roadways throughout Boca Del Mar and we must not forget our 4 Water Retention Areas, which have been enhanced and beautified for the benefit and enjoyment of the communities surrounding them. To keep these areas of Boca Del Mar clean, there is a daily litter patrol.
