On qualifying homes, the HomeProtect Home Warranty pays covered costs to repair or replace certain mechanical systems, their parts and/or components, made inoperable by mechanical failures due to ordinary wear and tear in your home. If your systems or appliances are found to have a mechanical failure that is due to a condition that existed prior to the Agreement effective date (closing date), it is possible that part or all of your claim may not be covered.
